LMS using Squeezebox 3- lost and confused

I'd suggest you open or join a thread for each of these. There's no

Cover art not displaying consistently either in LMS or iPeng app

Hi, I'm using a SOtM SMS-200 network player running Squeezelite to stream my music files (mainly FLAC, some mp3) stored on my NAS and using iPeng app on an iPad as the control interface. As my music library approaches 5000 albums I am finding that album cover art is not always displaying, either within LMS web or iPeng. Reading advice on these forums I have done a 'clear and re-scan' within LMS but this does not help.

Most of my cover art is sized at 800 x 800 pixels and is imbedded in FLAC or mp3 files, and where possible I save the image as Folder.jpg in the root folder. I am pretty careful with tagging and folder structure. In the LMS help files I see reference to "pre-caching" of artwork and resizing options. I have chosen to resize artwork on the local server, but this does not seem to help.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

LMS 7.9.1 clean install missing albums/artists with 'special' characters.

I recently rebuilt my Debian LMS server and installed 7.9.2. Now any albums/artists with special characters (ü, ö, etc.) in the title/name are missing... :eek:

Probleme Radio Streams AAC OK, MP3 nicht OK

Hallo Comunity,

ich habe vor einiger Zeit meinen Stamm-Radiosender gewechselt, weil mir die Musik auf dem neuen Sender besser gefällt. Während ich auf meinem alten Stamm-Sender (AAC-Stream) niemals irgendwelche Probleme feststellen konnte hakt's auf dem neuen Sender (MP3-Stream) sehr oft, und ich versteh nicht woran's liegt :confused:. Die Wiedergabe ruckelt immer wieder in der Weise, dass die Wiedergabe kurzzeitig aussetzt und dann nach wenigen Augenblicken bis zu mehreren Sekunden genau an der Abbruchstelle fortgesetzt wird. Noch Öfter passiert es aber, dass im Stream ein oder zwei Takte Übersprungen werden, und das empfinde ich als Ãußerst nervig. Ich hoffe Ihr könnt mir auf die Sprünge helfen damit ich den Stream vernünftig hören kann.

Meine Ausstattung:
- Squeezebox Touch, FW.: 7.7.3-r16676
- Logitech Media Server: v7.7.6 auf Win10 x64
- Bandbreite_ 200Mbit/s

LMS 7.9.2 und radio.de

Hallo, ich habe den LMS 7.9.2 von QNAP (https://www.qnapclub.eu/de/qpkg/545#) auf meiner TS-119P+ frisch installiert (neuste Firmware, alten LMS komplett deinstalliert) und alles läuft wunderbar. Nur das radio.de-Plugin macht Probleme. Wenn ich in iPeng die Musikrichtungen anzeigen lassen möchte kommt die Meldung "Fehler beim Auslesen". Im Serverlog findet man dann folgendes:

Tracks not showing up in the playlist

Occasionally a track will play and appear in the "now playing" area, but not show up in the play list area below. In the image attached, "You Are Everything To Me" is playing, but it should be where Bruce Willis is in the play list.

Todays LMS Nightly not starting on Windows 10

I've just downloaded todays LMS Nightly, LogitechMediaServer-7.9.2-1561089896.exe, and it refuses to start correctly on Windows 10. Can't get LMS to display in any browser & Control Panel is extremely slow to start - when it does start LMS is shown as running but it isn't possible stop it. I only have an old April version of LMS available to try but when I installed over todays version it functioned immediately. Everything was fine on the previous nightly, just todays install is causing a problem.

Is it possible to download the previous nightly from somewhere so I can can get back up and running with something that I know works correctly?

Running LMS on web server

What are you running on your server? PHP has sqlite support built in.

And without further knowledge of your application it's hard to tell how
to best do it. You aren't accessing MySQL directly from the road, I'd
assume? If you already had an application in place, automated migration
from SQLite to MySQL would probably be easiest. Or re-write the app to
use SQLite directly etc.

V9.2 does not work on ReadyNAS i386

Hello,
I tried to update LMS to V9.2 from V9.1 on my ReadyNAS Ultra 2+. NAS reports LMS is running but port 9000 is dead and players cannot see the server.
2 different nightly buids tested, same result.

I went back to V9.1 - everything works.

Any idea?

I no longer get a separate URL for administration. And many things are now missing. Clicking Plugins in the list does nothing. There is no way to set the Music Information Screen contents. See attached.
It is much harder to do things with separate things e clients and servers.
I see no way to get the old interface back.

Looking for a Docker container that contains audio-scan 1.0.2

I want to be able to play OPUS files. I've tried several containers already but they all have audio-scan 0.95.
Is there a container available with 1.01 or 1.02?

I'm not very docker savvy so I don't know how to build my own. I can run them fine though :)

Unable to authenticate Tidal on mysqueezebox.com

For no apparent reason I am not able to enter my tidal credentials on mysqueezebox.com.

I've been playing tidal for years with no issues. When I went to play today it indicated my credentials on mysqueezebox.com were invalid.

I know my username/password are correct with Tidal, since I'm able to log into it on my computer.

no CONNECTION after a power surge

HI I have been using picoreplayer on my PI for long time now with great success. But today after power surge, I cannot connect to picoreplayer.
I reboot the PI many time, red thing is on on it, and the yellow thing on the internet cable blinks as well. But nothing.
Do you thing the SD card is HS.??
what should I do to check my problem the best way??

Preferred Sample Rate

While I was working on the squeezelite esp32 port, I was thinking about the following use case:

Today, squeezeplay-based players report their maximum sample rate and when LMS has a track above that rate, it tries to resample. I say "tries" because it does not always have the rules to do that, especially on live stream.

In my case of the esp32, it can do resampling, but at a lower quality. So it would be better that LMS does it if it can (it probably has more CPU) but it would be acceptable to send the stream as is. So a player could not only send a "MaxSampleRate" in its capabilities, but it could also send a "PrefSampleRate" which is a rate, or a list of rates that he would prefer LMS to use and to resample to one of these rates if possible.

I realise it might be too much a corner case

picoreplayer: webradio direkt integrieren

Hallo miteinander,

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dem PiCorePlayer eine direkte Webradiofunktion hinzuzufügen? Derzeit habe den LMS dazu installiert um die TuneIn Funktion zu nutzen. Dies beisst sich allerdings beim Wechsel zum LMS den ich auf einem NAS im Netzwerk habe. Würde aber gerne das NAS aus dem spiel lassen wenn nur direkt aus dem Internet gestreamt werden soll.

Is there a way to manually use pcp-apmode.tcz to set up a wifi access point on a Raspberry pi Zero.
I would love to use piCorePlayer in my jeep or with my old sony boombox but will not have wifi.
