Erland's SongInfo and SongLyrics Plugins - problems downloading

Hi,
Just re-subscribed to Tidal(Masters) but can't get songs to play with above mentioned setup. It used to work when I first tried it with my SB Touch (RPI) a year or two ago. Songs appear in LMS web control but I try to play them time slider only moves forward 3-4 seconds (without sound) and then goes back to zero. Tidal support wasn't able to offer any advice suggesting I post here.
Tried installing Ickstream plugin only to find out it's been discontinued as of may 31st 2019.
Any clues?

Screen death

I recently plugged one of my Touches back in again after spending about 5 months unplugged during house renovations. All seemed well at first but after a few days the screen malfunctioned: what should be black is a sort of bleached out red and towards the bottom of the screen there is a white flare effect.

Resetting and unplugging for a few days has made no difference. The touchscreen function seems fine though.

So is my screen done for? And if so has anyone had any luck in replacing the screen?

A bit gutted about this - I'd hardly used this SBT and the room it was going to be used in has just been all sorted out and redecorated. Interestingly, once in a while my phone dose something similar but a quick restart always sorts that out.

A new version of Logitech Media Server is available. (Click here) then page can't dis

This is the 1st time this happen. I all ways click on the "A new version of Logitech Media Server is available. (Click here)" and it says to then use this command:

sudo dpkg -i /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/updates/logitechmediaserver_7.9.2~1559745322_amd64.deb

I did that and now I get This site can’t be reached when I got to port 9000.

Using Ubuntu Linux 18.04.2 server.

I don't remember this every happening before.

Even rebooted my server and it still don't work.

Keep on refreshing after I try things and still can't be reached.

Do a service logitechmediaserver status and got back this:

If I do service logitechmediaserver start it just comes right back with no errors but still can't go to port 9000.

Any way to fix this?

Did you try to remove Spotty credentials and re-add them?

Hello,

I am struggling to use the script available on Adafruit to install PiTFT 2.8, on a headless PCP (have tried it on a stock Raspian and works flawlessly). Has anyone tried installing and have a script or step by step tutorial ? I am pretty new to this.

Connecting to an NFS share from a Windows 10 PC???

Hello,
I have just rebuilt my Debian (Squeeze) LMS and decided to try NFS instead of Samba. When I try to mount the NFS share on the Windows PC that has all of my music on it, I get "Error 53".

Any ideas please?

Die SB sollte dir anzeigen, dass die Taste gespeichert wurde. So lange
musst du sie gedrückt halten. Oder bis du eine Fehlermeldung erhältst.
Die müsstest du uns dann mitteilen.

After more then 10 years I’m switching to Bluesound for streaming. The latest years it became harder and harder to make it function, but thanks to @mherger I was able to keep listening to my SB. Thanks a lot! Due to this hassle I’m selling my Squeezebox system. I have a Duet and a Radio. Anyone from you guys interested in expanding your system for little?

More information on http://link.marktplaats.nl/m14242511...app_ios_tablet (dutch). For a SB forum member the price will, off course, be more convenient: E 120 for both, E 70 each. I prefer selling in the Netherlands.

Spotty will not install on LMS

Hi Guys,

I was running the NAS Tools version of LMS and just upgraded to LMS 7.9.2. All works fine. However, I find that I cannot get Spotty to install. I get the list of plugins and have Michael's list of plugins displayed there but when I select Spotty and SAVE - nothing happens - the plugin does not move to the Installed Plugins list even after restarting LMS or restarting the NAS drive completely.

I have a Netgear ReadyNAS 104. LMS 7.9.2 (arm7l-linux) have IO::Socket::SSL installed (Version 2.002). NAS Firmware 6.10.1

Before I installed LMS 7.9.2 I completely removed all traces of the previous LMS via SSH.

What is odd is that although I can "see" that the plugin is there in the 3rd party plugins list, I cannot install (activate?) it.

Am I doing something really stupid or is there a fix for this?

When I had the NasTools version 7.9.0 I could Install Spotty via the plugins list and I could "see" it in the main LMS interface. However, it didn't seem to work. It was as though it couldn't "see" outside of the local network to log on to Spotify. I thought that this was because I needed to update the LMS version - so I installed 7.9.2.

I also had to install the LMS_1.0.9_all package (Poussin?) in order that the app appeared in my admin menu - but others have done that successfully with the ReadyNAS version so I know it will work ok. LMs serves up the local content just fine.

Selecting the "official" plugins seems to work fine. They appear on the top "active" list when selected and server restarted. I tried other 3rd party plugins - they won't install either! Could this be a permissions issue?

Anyone have any idea what could be happening here? Michael, if you are on here, would you have an idea what's going on? Do I have to give permission somewhere to install 3rd party plugins?

Please advise. Thank you (apologies for the long post....) :)

Albums not showing up

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum. Hope this thread is in the right category.

The following is the case - I have a few Nina Simone albums. All are HDTracks downloads. All albums are in the same library folder, on my Synology NAS with LMS 7.9.2, and in the same Nina Simone folder (see pic below).
And all albums are handled the same, by renaming all tracks to the same format and running them all through "MusicBrainz Picard", so that they have the correct tags.
But, with Nina Simone only the "Baltimore" album shows up and "Pastel Blues" doesn't (see pic below). In recent years I even had some Nina Simone CD rips, in the same folder, but these don't show up as well.
For now, it only happens with this artist.

Has anybody any clues / tips / solution ?

Web Stream Intermittent "Stuttering" Problem

I could use some help with an intermittent web stream “stuttering” problem.

I’ve been encountering intermittent “stuttering,” clicks and squawks when using one particular radio stream with my Squeezeboxes. Other times the stream just stops. Most of the time there’s no problem at all. I haven’t had the problem listening with the VLC player app on my computer so I assume the problem is Squeezebox-related. The problem occurs with both the Squeezebox Table Radios and the Raspberry Pi+Squeezelite combo. The stream in question is KMFA https://kmfa.streamguys1.com/KMFA-mp3

In order to fix the problem I’ve tried the following, which hasn’t worked to fix it:
On Player > Audio Settings:
Installed LAME and tried Bitrate Limiting, trying 320 and 160 kbps
Changed the Streaming Method from Direct to Proxied
On Advanced > Network Settings:
Radio Station Buffer Seconds was increased from 3 to 8 seconds.

What am I missing? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

My rig is LMS 7.9.1 - 1522157629 running on macOS 10.14.5 and listening using a Raspberry Pi running Squeezelite v1.8.1-704, as well as with Squeezebox Table Radios with software v7.7.3 r16676.

Using hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry setting.

Raspberry Pi3-1Gb on 16Gb SD, media on fileserver. No Squeezelite active

As soon as i fired up the pi i noticed that the left channel was not playing. Then I changed the players name (Squeezelite Settings -> Name of your player) and suddenly the left channel was working.
Played some time and then again left channel is gone and now back again.

For testing I changed in LMS Musicsystem => Audio => Output modus => Left channel expecting to hear nothing but right channel kept on playing. Matter of fact whatever channel I choose I keep on having stereo. And yes I changed music stream to force rebuffer.

Main question now is how to test if i've got a malfunctioning DAC or something buggy with PcP?

WebUI: Custom browse menu with umlaut not accessible (but it is with Material)

When I click on this menu I get an error message:

I think it worked at some point. With the Material skin, I can access this menu, iPeng also has no problems.

Unable to set time for daily Rescan Music Library since pCP 5.0.0 update

Are you setting the time through the web or player UI? Could you try the
other option? Is your LMS set to use 24h but you're using am/pm or
something?
