No, I've outlined this elsewhere: 7.9.1 will be mostly bug fixes only.
Any major changes would go to whatever will be next (7.10, 8.0, NG, ...).

If you're happy to get more than one update in three years, then you
should be safe running 7.9.1 if you wish. There might be a flurry of bug

it'll hopefully become quite quiet.
