I need to change the DNS resolver setting on our SB Touch. The SBT employs a static IP. Logging in with SSH I can see in /etc/network/interfaces the stanza with its:
- static setting on its wlan0 interface,
- IP address,
- gateway address, and
- the address it should use for DNS resolution.
It is that last item, the address it uses for DNS, that I'd like to change.
I don't seem to be able to find anything in the touch screen menus for changing network settings. Am I able to make this change using the SSH connection? I was wondering if there was a built-in editor that I could use and, if so, if anybody could say what editor it is, and I could look up the necessary commands to change the contents of the /etc/network/interfaces file. Presumably, such an edit would, then, survive any subsequent switch off and on sequences.
Grateful for any advice,
Atlantic
