How-To Troubleshoot Excessive CPU Usage - Plugin issue

Disable half of the installed plugins.

Fixed? Re-enable half of the disabled plugins.
Not fixed? Disable half of the remaining enabled plugins.

Repeat until you're back to normal. Re-enable everything but the suspect.

Unfortunately this is the only way to go.

Or almost: if you're really into it, then you could install NYTProf and
run LMS with it. There's some hotkey or something defined somewhere to
enable/disable profiling. This would allow you to enable profiling as
soon as problems arise. The resulting data _might_ help you. But then
NYTProf is not suitable to be enabled all the time. It generates a lot
of data and slows down LMS.

Disabling plugins might be much easier, even if it takes more time.
