Over the last few days I've noticed that when I try to play an album from one of my Radios or Touches, rather that starting at the beginning of the album, play starts part-way through a different song from that same album.
This doesn't happen if I use the LMS web interface or Orange Squeeze to commence play - only if initiating things form the players themselves.
It doesn't happen with every album either: just with specific recent additions and always in exactly the same way: eg album A always jumps to 56 seconds into track 4 while album B always jumps to 1min30 in track 6 etc. All are in FLAC, a couple are 48khz 24bit, the others 44.1/16 CD rips. All were converted to FLAC using Foobar, which I've always used.
I'm using LMS 7.9.0 on a ReadyNAS and my only recent changes are installing the Kidsplay, Music Walk WIth Me and Bookmarks plugins (none of which I've yet used) and also deleting a second instance of LMS (much older version) that seemed to be running simultaneously on the ReadyNAS.
I initially assumed that the files were corrupted or that the NAS was struggling as there was less than 200GB left of its 1TB capacity but the fact that the problem doesn't exist when using Orange Squeeze would seem to suggest otherwise.
I'm just waiting to see if a complete clear and re-scan sorts things out but would be interested to know best to proceed if this doesn't do the trick.
