Hi,
I do have the following problem: I want to use extended permissions on a QNAP NAS with LMS. When I activate the extended permissions support, the LMS will not find any files/folders inside the root "Multimedia" folder. When I deactivate the extended permissions, everything works fine.
ssods user is activated and ssods group has r/w access to the according folder. Additionally I set the group recursively to everyone [100] and the owner to a local user [1001] as it was written for example here:
http://www.squeezebox-forum.de/viewtopic.php?t=3249
I am not sure if I hit a SSODS error or LMS error. Any hint is welcome as I would like to use the extended permissions.
thanks, Andre
P.S: Running LMS 7.9.1-1492077569 on
QNAP TS-653B (had the same issue on a TS-219)
Firmware is 4.3.3.0188
The system is actually just initialized and no data on it at the moment. So configuration is as clean as possible.
Editing post:
Please note that I run the LMS successfully on the older TS-219 now for a lot of years. I just wanted to switch to extended permissions when getting the new server, which make it fail :-(.
Additionally I should tell that this is a 64bit system, but this gave no problems whatsoever (SSODS provides 32bit Perl version and runs LMS accordingly - as I dont use transcoding, all works fine)
