Hello,
Being new on the forum I am looking for help resolving a problem with LMS/Squeezebox.
I am using SB3/classic mainly for playing files (flac) from a hd on the LMS server, controlling either via the web interface or "squeezer" on a tablet. The setup has been running without problems for several months but since a few weeks playing is no longer working well. I am not aware of anything having changed on the server, SB or router.
When the problem occurs, there is a long pause (2-3 minutes) after a track. In this situation the playing time display is stuck at the end of the previous track. The skip button on web interface does usually not work. Pause does not go to pause but makes clicking skip possible.
Some times the previous track will be repeated, again with with the long pause at the end. Less frequent the next track will start playing while the display on the SB classic or web interface is still showing the first track being played. In the later case the playing and track display often gets out of sync, playing a track ahead of what is displayed.
The server is connected to the router with cable while the SB is on wireless. I have changed WLAN channel to one with little traffic and the signal strength is good.
I do not have the impression it happens with specific tracks.
Summary of my setup;
Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1443165052 @ Thu Oct 1 04:05:33 UTC 2015
Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8
Platform Architecture: i686-linux (Voyage Linux v0.9.5)
Perl Version: 5.14.2 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi-64int
Audio::Scan: 0.94
Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1)
Total Players Recognized: 1
Player Model: Squeezebox Classic
Player Type: squeezebox2
Firmware: 137
Wireless Signal Strength: 80%
Only one SB player in the network.
I have reverted back to an ISO copy of the system disk dated before the problems occured but it has not helped(!).
Any suggestions what may be wrong? I can post a log file but it is pretty long...
Best regards,
Jonas
